A day off at an end

I was talking to hubby on the phone and said "babe something is really wrong with my car" at that moment my car died!! On Route 30 at an intersection!!!!! Note to self and others: it doesn't help matters any to honk when someones car has died, hey here's an idea get out of your car and help the "woman" push her car! NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo we can't do that, we are all in a hurry and want her to know!! Amazingly enough, so many things worked out, as I put the car in neutral and started to push I saw flashing lights, unlike this time!! Then I heard "get in the car and steer ma'am" to which I replied without looking back, I got it. Then I heard, "GET IN THE CAR!" Then I looked back two, count'em 2 officers pushing my car, then I went downhill to a parking lot, then called hubby! He was there in 10 minutes. He was driving right down the street when I was talking to him. We open the hood and find the belt came off! After trying to put it in, by ourselves, we decide to call my daddy!!!!!! I am so thrilled, he lives and works right down the street and is not out on a installment he is at the shop and can help! So we stand outside in the rain fighting with the BELT for more than an hour and everyone decides the car has enough "juice" to get to daddy's house and mama can go home get the kids off the bus and the daddies can go back to work and finish the job later! If my car is going to break down, it is good to know it will be on a day off from work and those people, that I need at that time, are going to be close!
Later, kids come home and finish homework and we don't wait for their daddy!
Daddy fixed my car, I tried to help and now it is time for bed! Standing outside in the rain really takes it out of me!!

Who ordered all this...........

Snow is on the ground it really, really is Spring. Be careful driving home in the snow!! Who in the Chicago area, would want to hear this in March! Spring, Please please come and snow snow go away come again another day!!!
I do have amazing children! And sometimes, they like each other!?
Hubby really has become a great househusband, and he is very proud of that (most of the time)! Oh this is so not nice (he doesn't know this is happening shhhhhhhhh)!!!
Gracie came home today! I haven't seen her since yesterday and I won't see her until maybe tomorrow! Oh I miss her!
Mitchey got to eat at his favorite place, Subway!! Or so I hear, Papaw took the boys to their favorite restaurant tonight! The boys are too cheap at least I raised Ya's right, I hear she got crab legs! Probably why she is sleeping so well!
And at least this one met me at the door tonight! Ok so it was only to prove he wasn't sleeping on the couch, (that he was on)!!

Say what you want to, but I think they are all amazing even in their sleep! God made them all perfect, isn't He wonderful!!!

They had to wait

Daddy wouldn't let the kids come downstairs until I got home on Easter morning and they could hardly wait!
They knew their Easter Baskets were down there!

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures during the gathering, but it was a great celebration! Hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter!

Cramming in

I get to entertain in my new home! I am having a small Easter gathering at my house on Sunday and I am so excited!!! To be able to celebrate and not be crammed in is so awesome! I am pretty sure there will be seating for everyone, even if there is snow on the ground and we can't go outside. I would like to have the Easter Egg Hunt outside, if we can't there is enough hiding places inside, we can still do it!

Other news: I have dropped the "cruise weight" and a couple of extra pounds! The neatest thing is that my jeans are feeling just slightly baggy in the behind! Down below 180 to 177! Yep, back to posting on my weight loss journey!
I am not feeling my best these days. I think, I am fighting that thing, you know, the flu. So I slept in and didn't get to see my babies this morning! I was also unavailable to help Yas with her new hairstyle, guess she looked pretty rough this morning! But "super daddy" stepped in and did what he could (probably a little better, maybe, I hope)!

Spring Break starts today after school! Yea for the kids, Mama doesn't get spring break, boo for mama!
Anyway, short on time just wanted to update!

S'more pics!

Check out my baby girl..............
Isn't she a beauty and that new haircut! I love it and she likes it too! She sat down in the chair told the hairstylist want she wanted, they discussed it and this is what the two of them came up with!! I love it! Oh yea, so does she!

He......
Doesn't like how old she looks,

but likes the cute girl and the hairstyle on her!And that one on the right is just waiting for her to give him attention!!

In other pictures:
One reason I am, I mean, we are able to keep up on laundry! These Cadillac's have alot to do with it!! Then add to that the two and a half bathrooms and life is getting good!

Add to that a great shower and life gets a little easier!

I'll add more pictures later!

Thank you all so much for your amazing, kind and thoughtful words!

Awake, just a little bit longer....

I heard about the kids getting to enjoy their dune buggies and Quad yesterday! I must say I was very very jealous, I used to be there to see everything they did.

I am still trying to get a good hold on this foreman's position. Where is the even balance? What kind of foreman do I want to be? Where do I stand? Dear God, please don't let me be a pushover!!!

The most amazing thing has been happening... we are constantly down to 1/2 load of laundry! WoHOOOOOO! Yes, it is amazing! Oh yea I should tell you I do maybe 3 loads of laundry per week, hubby does the other 400,000,000!!!! It is so great to have a supportive hubby and a great one! Oh yea, this morning, for the first time evvvveeeeerrrr I got breakfast in BED! Yes, yes yes! Toast, oatmeal and 1/2 cup of coffee. Do you think this might have been his way of getting me out of bed!? It worked before I was finished with my toast I was downstairs! If I don't get up early I don't see my babies!

Crazy life, I worry! I worry about my kids and my hubby! Everyone is fine I am just concerned for them!

I do have a crazy fear of coming home. Until I open the door and find everyone ok, it is always a long prayerful ride home! It promotes me to pray and I know where my dependence lies. It lays with God! So putting it like that says I'm ok, no big deal. Putting it as a real fear leaves me vulnerable and insane, not strong! His strength is made perfect in my weakness.o

When it isn't spring weather yet

Make it Spring!!
So we have on winter coats and it is very cold outside. But at least daylight is around a little longer!
This made us able to get outside and enjoy the daylight just a little! Even though Mitch didn't learn to ride his back this day, at leat he was able to attempt it! I was so happy

to stand outside for a moment and it not be dark!

Nothing to say....

Different meds and a little sun make a ttoooooon of difference.

The kids school called the other day and my children are like -$10 in their lunch accounts!! Have they been feeding them or just letting them go hungry! I had no idea and I feel terrible!

2nd shift is the hardest shift to work. Not because of the work, but because of the time I am gone! If I don't get up early I don't see my babies and if I don't sleep it is a rough ride home!

Did I tell you I was pulled over on my way home from work last week! Oh yea, the officer said "are you tired?" of course I'm tired it is 3am and I am driving from Chicago and I am almost home! Never mind the deer I just slowed down for 1 mile back, guess that officer missed that one!! Yep, the officer said to me "either your tired or your drunk!" oh my goodness I should have been in bed 3 hours ago I AM TIRED, or at least I was. After the stop I am now wide wide awake, unable to sleep and that is just a fabulous feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***Note to Cop: Don't pull over sleepy woman, in a black carhartt, in pack boots and lots of sweatshirts, in a grocery getter!! She is probably not coming from a bar she is probably coming from work!

My boy's button's are easy to push

The new school has been great for Adam, of course everything comes with a "bump in the road" (prounounce bump as beump)! He is an easy read, he wears his emotions on his face all the time!! This makes it very easy to push his buttons!!!
So, at dinner we were told about a kid, who is pushing him, but after long discussion it is not so much the bumping into that has Adam rattled. It is the talking about his mom! You remember the "yo mama" jokes and the I was "with" yo mama last night. Yep, those jokes bug my boy! After trying to explain the "high" road and explaining that this boy might be acting out and after explaining how Adam is showing how easy it is to have his button's pushed and nothing really getting through to him and only making him more angry (I read it on his face) I asked him if any of the things this kid was saying was true to which Adam replied "no". I think to myself this is easy, it isn't true it doesn't make a difference! Ha Ha HA! Words still hurt, true or not and he is hurt and angry! So I ask him and forgive my forwardness here. If this kid was sleeping with me who should we feel sorry for:
Yo mama puts on jeans
Yo mama puts on two-three layers of shirts
yo mama wears hiking socks to work
and then yo mama puts on steel toes boots that look like combat boots and then
yo mama puts on a BIG bulky carhartt coat and then
yo mama puts on an ORANGE hard hat with huge SAFETY glasses and then
yo mama puts on an orange vest like the ones you see on the people that work on the roads and then
yo mama, who doesn't look like yo mama puts on a reflective belt and puts a huge black radio in it and then yo mama looks like a man!!!
Now, if he wants to say he is sleeping with yo mama, maybe just maybe he is at a loss!!
My kids found this to be hilarious!
However let me tell you I AM the most sexiest wife Larry has ever had!!!!!!!

And that I am sure of!

Whatcha think...

What is the age to give a child a cell phone?
Is there an "age"?
I think it should go on what the responsibilities are and what the reasons. I know that cell phone's have been requested, not only by my 12 year old but also by my 9 year old!! Yes, I have seen even younger with cell phones. Maybe they are necessary for these families, I am just not sure. I am really not ready to add that bill and that responsibility on!
What do you think?
Do your kids have cell phones?
Have you set an age or a certain responsibility level?
Or are you just playing it by ear like me?!
